The project began when Islington Mill announced they were running a series of event called ‘off with their heads’. I wanted to play about with screen printing on various objects and have fun throwing ink around the studio. These are the 8 images I selected out of 131 prints in the full collection. The exhibition opened April 1st and will end after Sounds from the other city.
Off With Their Heads:
- Sepp Blatter – Head of FIFA – Printed on office carpet found in the skip
- Sarah Palin – The Tea Party – Printed on acetate found in the studio and backed with some purple plastic sheeting
- David Cameron – Conservative Party – Stained on the silk screen I printed the rest of the heads on
- Justin Bieber – That Kid – Printed on the fridge door from the studio
- Prince Philip – Queens Husband – Printed on paper and pasted on to some old wood from the skip
- Jordan – Glossy Magazine Ho – Printed on an old oily sign I found at a neglected warehouse
- Rupert Murdoch – BSKYB – Printed on a celing tile from the skip
- Kerry Katona – Mother and Coke Head – Printed on a Gascoigne Holman sold sign
